A EASY AND QUICK VEGETERIAN INDIAN THALI

Its been a very long time since I have posted my daily meal Thali on this blog .. so here is a simple yet tasty thali which you can make in minutes with a little planning plus its also very nutritious like any homemade meal will always be.


Pre-prep: chop your ingredients for the cauliflower and peas rassa vegetable .. cauliflower is the quickest.. , knead Atta for your Roti or chapati, soak toovar dal for your dal . I can make this meal in 1/2 hour right from chopping and soaking . I use my pressure cooker a lot for such times when one has to cook a quick meal.
Offcourse , you should not cook cauliflower in a pressure cooker as it spoils its taste.. but its a quick cooking vegetable which tastes best when left a little raw.

Here I share meals with you so that those who are short of time or who are working do not have much time to plan their meals and so when bloggers like me put in their whole meal Thali it becomes easy to plan ones meal.
Mango juice is a tinned version as mangoes are not in season now.

MENU

CAULIFLOWER POTATO RASSA
AMRAS (MANGO MASHED WITH SUGAR AND A LITTLE MILK GARNISHED WITH CARDAMOM SEEDS)
VARAN or a simple toovar dal which is cooked with turmeric, ghee and hing
ROTI
RICE (not in the picture to go along with the dal) .

A simple and healthy Indian thali which anyone can make.
